More Than Making Trains Move -1

This is an interesting case study for management training. It's about effective planning, strong communications and engagement with customers and stakeholders.

This is the SS18 LRT Station, everything looks good.

Unfortunately, the escalators are located on one side of the station. The other side, where the shops and commercial buildings are, you will need to walk up and down 6 flight of stairs.

If you are thinking of crossing the road. No way! All fenced up!

So if you are travelling with a physically handicapped or aged person trying to get to or from the shops to the train, you are required to walk 200m, cross the road, and walk another 200m back to get back to this beautiful escalators. This is very frustrating especially when RapidKL tried to project a message that they are handicapped and aged friendly.

Wondering why not many people use the LRT? The answer is that they CAN'T!

Future thinking and the ability to plan and develop future problem solving skills is critical.
